More Than Satisfying Basic Needs

A Life of Ideals, Principles and Values
The PAP leaders are only interested in acquiring huge amount of wealth and in preserving their unjustly-gotten political power. Don't they realise that man actually has few needs but many important goals?
It is not enough merely to have good food, expensive alcoholic drinks, good looks, sexual satisfaction, good health, expensive clothes, physical and material comfort, impressive educational and professional qualifications, expensive houses and expensive cars.
One must also be devoted to ideals and principles and be creative and knowledgeable. Each one of us is an unique individual and he must be allowed to express and to realize this unique individuality of his freely. One should never conform to the herd mentality and become an automaton in a free society.
What is the use of having a long life if you fail to be, in your relationship with your fellow human beings, loving, friendly, respectful, rational, caring, responsible and understanding? For, if you succeed in becoming such a person of values, principles and ideals, it would be the mark of a truly happy and wise person.
